About Us

 A Powerful Voice In A Child's Life!

The 15th Judicial Circuit CASA recruits, trains, motivates and manages citizen volunteers to speak up for the "best interests" of children of abuse and neglect.  After receiving 32 hours of CASA volunteer training, our graduates are sworn in as "Officers of the Court" and act as the "eyes and the ears" of the Judge.

Court Appointed Special Advocates commit to visiting the child at least once a month or more if needed. They investigate, collaborate and work closely with Children's Division and the Deputy Juvenile Office.  They report directly and independently to the Judge and are guided by CASA staff in making objective, relevant fact-based recommendations to the Court. CASA volunteers can expect to donate 10-12 hours the first month and thereafter attend 72 hour, Adjudication, Disposition, Review and Permanency hearings until the child either is reunited with parents or placed in a permanent adoptive home. Our goal is to seek permanency for a child within 22 months, or as soon as possible.

Vision Statement

All children will live in a safe, nurturing environment.
